There is an overlap in ages, or grades, as students all progress according to their own development and should not be rushed into higher levels simply because they are a particular age or in particular grade in school. Just as some children are ready to begin the work of a typical kindergarten at age four, while others are not ready until five or six, some students will be ready for our grammar level recommendations at eight, while others won't be ready until nine or ten. Transitioning to the logic stage may be correlated to the traditional middle school or junior high school. It is at this level that students begin to think about things and try to understand, rather than just know. However, because of the high demand and more advanced content, many students are not ready for the curriculum used in this stage until they are thirteen or fourteen years old.
